Had the tempura set meals here with my family and really enjoyed it. The tempura was delicious and everything was nicely done. The only thing was that I found the omelette roll a little too moist to my liking.

錦　平野さんでテイクアウト閉店間際だったのでなんと50%オフでだし巻きバーガーげっとしましたー❣️❣️ お家でレンチンして食べたんだけど、お出汁が凄くてフッカフカでめちゃくちゃ美味しかったー❣️ コレが250円(半額)はお得すぎましたねw

2025年12月19日、錦市場を歩いている途中に錦平野の店先を見ました。市場の通りに面して「天ぷら」「だし巻」と大きく掲げられ、店先で調理される様子や湯気が目に留まります。錦平野はおばんざいとだし巻を扱う店で、出汁をたっぷり使って焼き上げるだし巻が看板商品です。えび天串やだし巻を使った商品なども並び、歩きながら次々と食べ物が目に入る錦市場らしい店構えでした。鮮魚や漬物、乾物などの店が続く市場の中で、すぐに食べられる惣菜を前面に出す店が加わることで、「京の台所」と呼ばれる錦市場の食の幅広さがよく分かります。この日は市場を散策しながら店先を眺めましたが、だし巻を焼く気配まで含めて、単なる買い物通りではない京都の日常的な食文化を感じられる一店でした。市場の狭い通りに香りや音が重なり、目で見るだけでも食欲を刺激される、錦市場らしい活気のある店先でした。

A pretty casual place that did tempura and omelette sets for lunch. We ended up eating here twice since it’s conveniently close to our hotel. The omelettes were super soft and the tempura was decent. The batter itself seemed to be unflavored but tasted better with the provided sauce. Tried the eel omelette and the eel reminded me more of swamp eel than unagi but it was pretty good regardless. The chicken tempura was quite juicy and I enjoyed the side dishes as well. Also tried the octopus okonomiyaki but didn’t really like it, it was just small pieces of octopus with some cabbage in a flour wrap. The beef and eel tempura were just ok and didn’t really feel like anything more than some meat covered in fried flour. Still a solid spot for a balanced lunch.
